There are concoctions that bolster one's resistance to the necrotic and poisonous, as well as elixirs that neutralize such energies completely. Admittedly, I've tried mitigating the effects of the orb before with similar tonics, only to find that after a day or so of continuous use, I'm left terribly ill. I can only assume my body has acclimated to the changes, and thus, it's not a solution for the long-term.

[Simple gesticulation isn't enough; he eases onto his side as well, wanting to match Astarion's height to look him right in the eye. It seems his excitement at the potential outweighs any exhaustion.]

But for the short-term, were we both to protect ourselves in such a way... I cannot guarantee the taste, but it might be possible.
